At the heart of the device is the stunning 27-inch Retina 5K display with a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels, support for one billion colors, P3 color space, and 500 nits of brightness. The result: razor-sharp details, vibrant colors, and excellent visuals—ideal for professional image editing, 4K video editing, or immersive media experiences.

Depending on the configuration, the iMac is powered by a 6-core Intel Core i5 processor with up to 4.6 GHz Turbo Boost or an optional 8-core Intel Core i9 for particularly intensive tasks. Combined with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 64 GB) and a fast Fusion Drive or SSD storage with up to 2 TB capacity, the iMac offers enormous flexibility for a wide variety of work needs.

The iMac is also excellently equipped when it comes to graphics performance: Depending on the model, it comes with a Radeon Pro 570X, 575X, or 580X graphics card, each with its own VRAM – optionally even with the Radeon Pro Vega 48 for maximum graphics performance in 3D rendering, video editing, or complex visualizations.

The integrated FaceTime HD camera, stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, four USB 3 ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB-C), and an SDXC card reader round out the package. The Thunderbolt ports also allow for the connection of external 5K or two 4K displays, making the iMac a perfect workstation for creative professionals.

Wireless connections are reliable and fast thanks to Wi-Fi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.2. Included are the Magic Keyboard and the intuitive Magic Mouse 2 – optionally with a numeric keypad or trackpad.

The iMac runs macOS Catalina but is upgradeable to newer macOS versions, offering the latest security features and access to the broad Apple ecosystem with apps like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, as well as built-in tools like Safari, Pages, Keynote, and FaceTime.
