What is the difference between active noise cancellation on AirPods 4 and adaptive noise cancellation on AirPods Pro 2?

The term "Active" in Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for the AirPods 4 refers to their ability to use built-in microphones and algorithms to detect outside noise and actively generate sound waves that counteract that noise. Unlike the AirPods Pro, which have adaptive noise cancellation that dynamically adjusts to your environment, the ANC in the AirPods 4 offers a fixed level of noise cancellation.
