Our packaging
A device from Revendo has already passed through many hands—and is meant to last for many more years. To ensure it reaches you safely, it needs packaging that is just as thoughtfully designed as the refurbishment itself. Since we couldn’t find what we were looking for on the market, we developed our packaging ourselves together with Swiss packaging specialists: one for smartphones, and one for MacBooks, laptops, and Tablets.
Maximum protection
The device must withstand transport undamaged—that is the most important requirement for packaging refurbished Electronics.
As little material as possible
As much packaging as necessary, as little as possible. Every gram we save won’t have to be disposed of later.
Fully recyclable
All components belong in the paper and cardboard recycling stream—you don’t need to take anything apart or dispose of it separately.
Renewable, certified raw materials
We use FSC®-certified cardboard instead of plastic solutions.
Easy handling and frustration-free unboxing
The packaging should be quick to fill and just as easy to open again—without a knife, without tearing, without hassle.
Reusable
Reusing the packaging extends its lifespan—fully in line with our business model.
That’s why we develop our own packaging.
Standard boxes rarely meet all these requirements at the same time: Either they provide good protection but use a lot of material, or they are economical but less secure. They often contain plastic components that would have to be removed before recycling.
That is why we took the opposite approach and developed our packaging from the ground up for our devices—tailored precisely to the actual dimensions of smartphones, Tablets, and notebooks. The result is two types of packaging that do exactly what they are supposed to do and can then be fully recycled as paper.
The smartphone packaging
For iPhones and other smartphones, we use a self-developed corrugated cardboard shipping sleeve.
What’s behind it
Our packaging
Packaging for MacBooks, laptops, and Tablets
Larger and heavier devices need more protection. That’s why we add a PE film to the box here, which secures the device and protects it from knocks and moisture. This plastic is harmless to health, durable, and recyclable—and it makes up such a small proportion of the packaging that you can dispose of the box and film together in the cardboard recycling.
In the long term, we also want to do without plastic for larger devices. We have already achieved this with our smartphone packaging.
