Standard or Pro: how the 14 models differ

The generation splits into two groups. The iPhone 14 (6.1″) and 14 Plus are the standard models with a dual camera, the Plus adding a bigger display and longer battery life. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max bring the Dynamic Island, an Always-On display, a 48 MP camera with telephoto lens and the A16 chip.

For everyday use, messaging and holiday snaps, a standard model is plenty. If you shoot lots of photos or video and need more storage, up to 1 TB on the Pro models, a Pro is the better pick.

Choice in this generation is usually wide. Every device is tested and refurbished in Switzerland; the battery-condition filter set to new shows only devices whose battery has been replaced. Conditions range from Bargain to As new, with a 1-year warranty (up to 3 years possible) and 14-day returns.

One generation newer: iPhone 15.
