Tablet Screen Protectors

The main difference between a screen protector and a protective glass is the materials used. A screen protector is made of thin plastic and offers basic protection against scratches, but is more susceptible to damage and may be less shock-resistant. A protective glass, particularly tempered glass, is thicker and offers far better protection against drops as it is more shock-resistant and shatter-proof. Glass also feels smoother and higher quality when in use, offering a similar feel to the original display.

To apply a protective glass to an iPad, you should follow these steps:

Cleaning: Clean the screen thoroughly with a cleaning cloth and a microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
Remove dust: Use an adhesive pad or dust removal sticker to ensure that no tiny dust particles remain on the display.
Positioning: Carefully align the protective glass to the edge of the iPad's screen. Most protective glasses have cutouts for the camera and buttons, which makes alignment easier.
Application: Once the glass is aligned, place it slowly and evenly on the screen. It will adhere itself through static adhesion.
Remove air bubbles: Press any air bubbles from the center outwards using a soft cloth or spatula.

To safely remove a protective glass:

Lift the edge: Use a soft plastic card or your fingernail to gently lift one edge of the glass.
Peel off slowly: When the edge is slightly raised, slowly and evenly pull the protective glass away from the screen. Be careful not to break the glass.
Remove residue: If there are residues on the display after removal, these can be removed with a mild cleaner or a microfiber cloth.

Tempered glass is a specially treated, hardened glass that has been strengthened by thermal or chemical processes. It is up to five times stronger than regular glass and offers excellent protection against scratches, impacts and breakages. If it breaks, it breaks into small, blunt pieces, minimizing the risk of injury. Tempered glass is often used as a screen protector for tablets, smartphones and other devices because it offers excellent clarity and touch sensitivity.
