Non-genuine components (e.g., battery, display, camera)
“Non-genuine” means that the replacement part was not manufactured by Apple or installed through official Apple channels. Nevertheless, these components work perfectly. Apple devices detect such components and display messages such as “Unknown Part” in “Settings ⇾ General ⇾ About ⇾ Parts and Service History” or, in earlier iOS versions, informational pop-up notifications. This message is part of the Repair history and usually disappears after a few days or remains permanently visible in the About history.
