Founded in 2006 by Monica Battistella and Sergio Gobbi, Pijama specializes in creating colorful and unique sleeves. The original idea was to reuse unused fabric stocks available in and around Milan, resulting in scratch-resistant soft cases for PowerBooks, iPods, and vinyl records, which were later expanded to include all Apple products. Over time, Pijama has evolved and now offers a wide range of products extending beyond the device market. Pijama sleeves are characterized by their three-layer construction, consisting of polyester jersey, neoprene, and the outer fabric that determines the final look. Each material is handled with curiosity and a passion for creative experimentation. Pijama stands for trend-consciousness and uniqueness. The headquarters and studio have been located in Milan since 2010, while the soft cases and bags are manufactured at a family-run business near the city. Most of the fabric suppliers are also based in northern Italy, making Pijama a brand with a local and sustainable ethos.
