What is Global Recycling Day anyway?

Global Recycling Day was launched in 2018 by the Global Recycling Foundation as an international day of action to raise awareness worldwide for recycling and the circular economy. In Switzerland, Swiss Recycle coordinates the day as the national partner.

By 2025, over 200 municipalities, schools, and companies in Switzerland have already participated with local events. The idea is simple: declutter, return, close the loop.

Sounds like clearing out the basement? It is. But it’s also much more.
